This Administrator Academy is designed for educational leaders to analyze and determine if their district's current Career Technical Education (CTE) programs meet the criteria to be considered high quality by ISBE standards. It is encouraged that districts look to participate as a team of individuals who are responsible for CTE planning and implementation within their district. This interactive academy will engage participants in a comprehensive self assessment of their knowledge of current state and federal legislation regulating CTE programming. Participants will then work to investigate local, regional, and national data as to what impact high quality CTE programs have on student success. Participants will then begin a review of each of the quality components, choosing one of their district's current programs to audit, determining which areas meet the requirements and which have opportunities for growth.
Participants will cap off their experience by completing a short and long term action plan for how their district will make impactful changes to their programs, working to meet the requirements of state law.
CTE coursework can now count toward the graduation requirement that starts for incoming freshmen in the fall of 2028 (either two years of a world language or two years of CTE coursework).
Refunds will be issued only to participants who call the ROE seven (7) business days before the start date of the program or if the program is cancelled. Additionally, within this seven (7) business day period, registrations are non-transferable and may not be applied to a different program or a later offering.
