To Register:
Understanding and Addressing Chronic Absenteeism is a practical academy designed for school leaders who want to strengthen student attendance and engagement. Participants will explore the scope of chronic absenteeism in Illinois, learn to analyze attendance data, identify root causes, and implement tiered, research-based strategies. This academy will empower administrators to build a culture where every student is supported and every day matters.
Once all components of the Academy are completed, the Kane County ROE will process the Academy within 30 days and the participant will receive an E-mail once the processing is completed. Participants of the online Administrator Academy must have all requirements completed by June 15, 2027, allowing time for review and processing with ISBE, in order for them to receive their annual Administrator Academy credit for the 2026-2027 school year. All academies completed after June 15, 2027 will be awarded to the following 2027-2028 school year.
