Change is a common entity within a K-12 school environment, and successful implementation of change can be instrumental in improving student learning and teacher instructional practices. This academy will give administrators the tools they need to lead their districts through a change process. Whether that is updating standards, adopting new grading practices, or improving instructional philosophies. They will learn how to identify which change theory will best suit their building or district's needs as they continue to lead and grow. Administrators will receive specific tools to support adult learning implementation and build capacity, along with ways to assess the implementation plan.
Once all components of the Academy are completed, the Kane County ROE will process the Academy within 30 days and the participant will receive an E-mail once the processing is completed. Participants of the online Administrator Academy must have all requirements completed by June 15, 2027, allowing time for review and processing with ISBE, in order for them to receive their annual Administrator Academy credit for the 2026-2027 school year. All academies completed after June 15, 2027 will be awarded to the following 2027-2028 school year.
