Participants in this course will learn a step-by-step process to build a common purpose and vision around their school improvement planning process. During the workshop school leaders will learn to apply steps to review important documents, previous goals and outcomes, assess their progress and use five fundamentals that inform the school community of the school improvement planning process. Participants will map out a timeline and clarify how they will involve all school constituencies in the school improvement planning process, and develop meaningful professional development to support the plan.

Once all components of the Academy are completed, the Kane County ROE will process the Academy within 30 days and the participant will receive an E-mail once the processing is completed. Participants of the online Administrator Academy must have all requirements completed by June 15, 2027, allowing time for review and processing with ISBE, in order for them to receive their annual Administrator Academy credit for the 2026-2027 school year. All academies completed after June 15, 2027 will be awarded to the following 2027-2028 school year.
