Advanced Workshop Series on Implementing an Equitable MTSS Framework to Improve Attendance & Address School Attendance Problems

This workshop will be based on the Multi-Dimensional - Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MD-MTSS) framework developed by Kearney & Graczyk (2020) in which Tier 1 refers to school-wide practices and supports schools put in place to promote a culture of attendance for ALL students. Tier 2 refers to interventions used to help students who are at-risk for chronic absenteeism. The intent is to identify these students early, implement relevant interventions, and help them get back on track. Tier 3 interventions are those put in place for students who are chronically absent and require the most intensive and individualized supports. When the MD-MTSS framework is implemented with fidelity, it promotes equity and inclusion and respects diversity because practices and interventions are put in place to address the needs of ALL students.

Participants will have a one-hour lunch break to purchase their own lunch.
