Description This day-long workshop will explore representations of diversity in children's and YA literature and the importance of using diverse books with children and teens. Information on diversity inclusion in Newbery and Caldecott books will be shared, targeted booktalks will be given, and strategies for powerful discussions about diverse literature with students will be shared.
