AA #1675 - The School Leader's Guide to Social Media***Online Offering***

Participants will: 1. identify and analyze practices that have led to educator phobia of social media; 2. explore the history of social media and understand the rationale for school leaders' fears associated with using and engaging social media within a school environment; 3. analyze and discuss the pros and cons of different social media and networking sites; and 4. evaluate social media options and connect with industry leaders to begin using social media to enhance their own professional development and usage for school promotion.

There is a 1.5 hour preactivity for this course.
