Join the National Museum of the American (NMAI) for a workshop about an important chapter in Native and American history. Educators will be able to explore NMAI's inquiry-based online lesson about American Indian removal and discover the many ways Native Peoples faced the crisis of removal. Working with a Smithsonian educator, teachers will consider how to integrate featured perspectives from Native American community members, documents, maps, images, and activities into their classrooms so that students can successfully build claims and construct an evidence-based argument about the vast scope and effects of American Indian removal.
