Today's school leaders should be harnessing the power of Web 2.0 to demonstrate for faculty and staff the new teaching and learning strategies used in 21st Century classrooms to improve student engagement and improve student academic achievement. Web 2.0 is all about interacting with content on the internet. Websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, Google Documents and individual blogs are all examples of this type of interaction. Participants in this workshop will learn how to leverage Web 2.0 tools and applications to increase communication among staff, students, and the public; to provide professional development for faculty; to conduct classroom walkthroughs and teacher evaluations; to improve their own time management; and to lead a strategic planning process in the area of 21 Century learning.
