Cake Decorating & FCS Pathways

Culinary Arts teachers at the middle school and high school levels in Geneva School District will develop deeper professional skills in the cake decorating field at The Party Kitchen in Geneva. Teachers will learn different piping techniques, recipes, and will work with fondant and buttercream. Teachers will also discuss the science of baking while working with The Party Kitchen's professional chefs. Teachers will have a curriculum development portion of the day to align middle school and high school goals and objectives specifically in the culinary arts and fashion/sewing portions of the program.
