Meaningful Family Engagement

Participants will understand the distinction between parent involvement and family engagement. They will examine the family engagement research as it relates to improving student success: academically, socially, and emotionally. Participants will have an opportunity to enhance the activities they already use by applying family engagement criteria. They will create an action plan for implementation for their classroom or school.
